Hello everyone! I have loved reading about your wonderful lives and decided I would join in the fun. I too cannot believe it has been 10 years, but time flies as we all know.
After graduation I attended SLCC, worked at an elementary school as a title one aide, and taught dance. I really enjoyed my job and met some wonderful people. I also discovered that I loved working with kids.
December of 1998 I met the love of my life at the homecoming of a mutual friend. I admit I was aprrehensive about going out with him, as I feared we would have nothing in common, but luckily I agreed. Turned out we had much more in common than I thought, and lucky for us, sometimes opposites really do attract! We were married in the SL temple 5 months later in May of 99. It has proved to be the best decision I have ever made!
For the next couple of years, Ryan and I both worked. I took a job at a Kindercare Daycare center, which only convinced me I would never put my children in Daycare unless I had absolutely no choice, and then at a flower shop, where I did floral arranging. I loved this job as well as I love to do anything creative. Ryan continued school in his pursuit of his lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter.
Ryan was hired on the West Jordan Fire Department 2 days before I found out I was expecting our first child. (good thing, because we had no insurance!!!) Since then, he has moved up to firefighter/paramedic and loves what he does. He has a raingutter business on the side and is very busy!
I am currently a stay at home mom, which is ultimately what I've always wanted to be. We have 2 beautiful girls, Savannah who is 5 and Olivia who is 3. I am continuing the pursuit of my "Poopy Diaper Degree" as I have recently sacrificed my body to the pregnancy god's once again. We are expecting yet another girl in October. I am huge and hot (but not in the good way) as it has been a sweltering summer. I am looking forward to some relief. Ryan and I have a home in West Valley, which is close to our families, and are both disgustingly happy! I hope to puruse my lifelong dream of opening my own dance studio within the next couple of years. Life has been great to us, and I really couldn't ask for more. I wish you all 10 more years of success and happiness!
